U Mobile and HLGY Energy to explore 5G-connected smart solar farms in Malaysia

U Mobile has signed a memorandum of understanding with HLGY Energy Sdn Bhd to explore smart solar farm solutions in Malaysia using the U Mobile ULTRA5G network. The two companies will explore a private 5G network to support autonomous drone inspections, AI-powered analytics and smart CCTV for remote monitoring of solar assets. HLGY Energy develops utility-scale solar under Malaysia Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme, including the Kedah Rubber City Solar Power Plant.
